Maldito Sweet
At MALDITO SWEET, you're not just wearing a garment, you're carrying a legacy, one that was born in a family with deep roots in the textile world. From a grandfather who built a uniform company to parents who designed swimwear, this heritage lives on in every stitch.
Inspired by a final degree project after studying in two major fashion capitals (Milan and Londo) and at just 21 years old, Nicole Mentado Burman decided to cut her own pattern and start from scratch. This is how MALDITO SWEET was born: a name with character, encapsulating spirit, rebellion, and sweetness in equal measure.
From day one, every design has been woven with history and emotion. Antique sewing machines inherited from her grandfather came back to life, stitching not just fabric, but dreams, courage, and purpose.
But this project wasn’t born only from threads and needles. It also grew out of personal transformation. Maybe you’ve felt it too, that silent insecurity, that shyness that seems to follow you from childhood. The creator of MALDITO SWEET was also “the chubby girl in class,” until a family loss changed everything. The passing of her grandfather marked a turning point, the awakening of a new way of seeing life, the body, and beauty itself.
She began showing herself as she truly was, in a bikini, unfiltered, unafraid. And that inspired other women like you. From her personal account came @malditacurvy, a space for real connection where beauty is celebrated through authenticity. That’s how MALDITO SWEET grew, as a natural extension of an internal revolution that now belongs to you too.
This isn’t just about bikinis. It’s about choosing confidence, self-acceptance, and personal power. It’s about turning the uncomfortable act of buying a swimsuit into an act of self-love. Each design is made to embrace your body just as it is. Each “Maldito” is a declaration of individuality. A garment that doesn’t hide you, it reveals your authenticity.
