Gran Canaria Swim Week Takes Off Towards Its Next Edition with a High-Level Presentation Alongside Iberia Express
2025-07-10
The only swimwear fashion show in Europe will be held from October 22 to 25 on the island.
The countdown to Gran Canaria Swim Week 2025 has officially begun with an exclusive event, marking the start of the journey towards Europe's most important international swimwear event.
In collaboration with Iberia Express, the presentation took place in an unprecedented and spectacular setting: Hangar 7 at La Muñoza. These facilities in Madrid, where the low-cost airline's planes are maintained, saw an aircraft become the unexpected protagonist of a scenography designed to surprise. Iberia Express has been flying to Gran Canaria since 2012 and has already transported eight million customers, including visitors and residents of the island.
The low-cost airline has established almost an air bridge between Gran Canaria and Madrid, with eight flights in each direction. These flights cover all time slots and provide the best connections with the Iberia Group's more than 100 international destinations worldwide.
Specialized press, content creators, institutions, and friends from the sector gathered to learn firsthand about the new features of the next edition of the catwalk, which will be held from October 22 to 25, 2025, in Gran Canaria.
The event featured a speech by Minerva Alonso, Minister of Economic Development, Industry, Commerce, and Handicrafts of the Cabildo de Gran Canaria, who highlighted that "Gran Canaria Swim Week is a unique event in Europe, intrinsically linked to the local landscape, culture, and territory. The participating Canarian brands eloquently express these inherent values and characteristics at the event. It is an increasingly professional, international, and consolidated event."
For her part, Isabel Rodríguez, Commercial Director of Iberia Express, emphasized the airline's pivotal role: to CONNECT Gran Canaria with the world in the broadest sense. She stated: "One of the best ways to achieve this is to sponsor and promote the main events held on the island, which contribute to exporting Gran Canaria, ensuring its recognition as a meeting point for an industry like fashion, and as an excellent location for organizing large-scale events."
During the act, this edition's agenda was presented. It will once again bring together established Gran Canaria brands and designers such as Palmas, Maldito Sweet, Nuria González, Elena Morales, and Agüita Swimwear, among others. They will be joined by prominent national and international names, including Victoria Cimadevilla, Agatha Ruiz de la Prada, Fiona Ferrer, and Dolores Cortés, among those currently confirmed.
