2016-09-14

OMAHA is Veronica Aparicio's first collection for VEVAS, presented in the last edition of the Gran Canaria Swimwear Fashion Week in June. OMAHA, inspired in the Native American roots, means "upriver", and represents the ones who travel against the wind.

Vero Aparicio studies in  INSTITUTO EUROPEO DI DESIGN in Madrid, in 2013, and she was the winner of the contest Concurso de Jóvenes Diseñadores (contest of young designers) organised by the shopping centre "El Tablero". After this personal success, the designer creates her first brand, VEROCT, of sport clothes. In addition, the brand offered ilustrations made by her.

With VEROCT, she participated two year in "Gran Canaria Fashion and Friends". She also has colaborated with the designer Nieves Barroso from the programme Gran Canaria Moda Cálida. Since some months ago, her brand changed its name. Now her brand is VEVAS which means, for the designer, "the search of new dreams and aspirations". Now she is part of the New Talents' category of Gran Canaria Moda Cálida.
